Medi-Rent Medi-Rent is the leading provider of pneumatic compression pumps in Australia and we are pleased to offer our service to NZ from 2019. The LX9 compression pump is attached to either a leg, arm-chest or trunk garment which inflate with air creating pressure on the body. This promotes the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid.
Compression pumps can improve limb size, tissue softness and can prevent secondary tissue changes seen in later stages of lymphoedema including skin hardening, lymph leakage and ulceration. Other benefits of using a pump include: daily use in the comfort of the home; a cost effective treatment option between manual lymphatic drainage sessions; a relaxing treatment modality for the end of the day when limbs feel heavy and achey.
